In 2007, after serving 30-years in the military, I wandered into a Guitar Center store with the thought of finding something to do in retirement. I had always wanted to play the piano, so I sat down and started playing around with a display keyboard (Yamaha ES 8). While plinking around, I discovered that I had a knack for making music. I have no formal composition or keyboard training and to my amazement, I discovered by doing, that I could make pleasing sounds. That prompted me to buy my first cheap keyboard (from Craigslist) and the ball was rolling. I kept upgrading equipment and soon discovered the Tascam DP-01 (a 8-track recorder) and then I really started to make music. Multi-tracking now is done via SONAR X3 Producer into my PC. I create fully developed songs that sound pleasing to me, and I hope also to you. Its been a wonderful trip thus far.
I am always interested in collaborative projects and have done several pieces with folks from all over the world. I am very comfortable in the genres of Smooth Jazz, Ambient, Chillout, Easy-listening but have also done Techno, Dance, Experimental, Cajun, Country, Rock, and Film Score.
My music influences are many: Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Chicago, Earth Wind & Fire, Commodores, Kool n the Gang, George Benson, Alan Parsons, Mike Oldfield, Pink Floyd, Yes, Toto, Journey, Bread, Marvin Gaye, Kenny G, Boney James, Chuck Mangione, Brian Culberstson, Paul Hardcastle.....
I hope you enjoy my pieces.
