When you decided to leave
I cried until I couldn’t breathe
I waited but you never looked back
It’s never been the same after that

I cry my tears of regret
From memories I can’t forget
And the days when I hurt the most
I remember holding, holding you close

Chorus:
I won’t throw away your pictures, never forget the memories
They remind me of when I was a part of you, and you were part of me
I keep thinking of our time together, when there was only happiness
But looking back now all I can see, is distance between you and me
Now I live in the moment, suspended in time
When will you come back, come back to be mine

I cry alone in the darkness
With feelings of emptiness
Remembering your hands on my face
There’s no one who can take your place

Boy, what we had so real
Letting go hurts so much to feel
It was something I had to do
Because our love was broken, broken in two

Chorus:
I won’t throw away your pictures, never forget the memories
They remind me of when I was a part of you, and you were part of me
I keep thinking of our time together, when there was only happiness
But looking back now all I can see, is distance between you and me
Now I live in the moment, somewhere in time
When will you come back, come back to be mine

Bridge:
I remember the very first time
When you kissed me and all I could think to say was
I’ve got to find a way
To never let you get away

I won’t throw away your pictures, never forget the memories
They remind me of when I was a part of you, and you were part of me
I keep thinking of our time together, when there was only happiness
But looking back now all I can see, is distance between you and me
Now I live in the moment, somewhere in time
Wont you please come back, come back to be mine
Wont you please come back, come back and be mine
Again, Again, Come Back Again, Be Mine Again, Again,

(c)Come Back To Be Mine

Tony: Nice write. one suggestion. The lady left. Wouldn't it make more sense for the line in the bridge that reads "I've got to find a way/to never let you get away" to be changed to "I forgot to find a way/to never let you get away"?  Forgot indicates that he messed up in the past, and fits better with the rest of the lyrics. Take or discard as you see fit.  Ott

Hi Ott,

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll have to think it over when I get the time. And thanks for taking the time to comment on my lyric I really apprecate it..

Hi John,

It feels like spring cleaning of all our unsolved problems and issues because I am going through the same kind of thing as you. Take care my friend.
