Chris Price songs
This my version of Psalm 1
It was originally going to be a collaboration but I came up with the first 2 chords this morning and the words soon followed. I decided to make it inclusive and make the tree a she. I think it pretty well follows the theme of the original without leaving anything out or adding anything that could not be implied
Happy are they
Who abandon the folly of strife
And walk in the way
Of the word of the giver of life
Their companion by day and by night
Like a tree with its roots
In a stream fresh and clear
Whose leaf does not fall
When the winter draws near
Whose branches bear fruit
When the fruit is required
And reaps the abundance
She truly desired
The wicked are swayed
By the wind and the waves of the sea
They chose to be strangers
From sin they will never be free
But the righteous, their God will he be
