Starting back in 2012, I did some collaborations with Diego_B.
Most of the tunes ended up on my music page; this one did not,
so here it is. I will add that Diego_B put out his third independent
album, “Hamburg-Minneapolis,” this past fall, and seven of the
songs we collaborated on are on this album. The album is
available on cdbaby. As a further interesting note, the title of
the album comes from the fact that Diego lives in Hamburg, and
I live in Minneapolis. Hope you enjoy. Ott
Welcome To My Parlor

well, welcome to my parlor, it’s darkened, don’t you see
I’ve got it all arranged, for my fantasies
the couch is made of leather, the lamp a Tiffany
I’ve created an illusion. a world made just for me
I can fantasize a lover, and she’ll play the perfect part
and all will be so easy, for I’ll surely win her heart
welcome to my parlor, welcome!
she will cover me with kisses, make my body sing a song
and I’ll tell my delusions, that they should play along
you’d appreciate the lighting, it isn’t very bright
I try to duplicate, the feeling of the night
my lady is more friendly, if she thinks she’ll have her way
but to me this is the place, where the both of us can play
welcome to my parlor, welcome!
she will cover me with kisses, make my body sing a song
and I’ll tell my delusions, that they should play along
so I dwell on tomorrow, where sweet night will always be
where love is exactly like, I wanted it to be
her smile will surely light her fire, and burn me with its flame
and in our drowning passion, she’ll surely call my name
welcome to my parlor, welcome!
she will cover me with kisses, make my body sing a song
and I’ll tell my delusions, that they should play along
still, I can’t help but wonder, when I look at all that’s here
am I the only one, who’s really ever here
the lighting is so sensual, the lamp has such a glow
but the darkness holds some secrets, that maybe I should know
is the lady an illusion, I can’t really tell
‘cause when I think about her, she’s already cast her spell
she will cover me with kisses, make my body sing a song
and I’ll tell my delusions, that they should play along
I may be living in a fantasy, kissing lips I can not see
but she is such a lovely vision
she’s always here with me!
