Well I got my studio mostly back in place .. so I sat down and wrote this one this morning and stuck it down real quick to check things out ..
She Just Disappears
Michael L Prather
She's a slippery kind of lover
like the cream the drugstore sells
she's got more ways of leaving
than what Paul Simon tells
She can be kind, she can be mean
she'll love you up then she'll leave you green
but through it all
she's the one for me
In my dreams I see her standing
all alone at the top of a hill
But when I climb up to meet her
she just laughs and disappears
Well I can hear her singing
just across the way
her voice is like a siren's
tempting me her way
But when I try to join her
in two part harmony
it's no use I'm out of tune
she just fades away
In my dreams I see her standing
all alone at the top of a hill
But when I climb up to meet her
she just laughs and disappears
She can be kind, she can be mean
she'll love you up then she'll leave you green
but through it all
she's the one for me
I got no voice, I got no choice
I'm underneath her spell
the first time I saw her
deep in love I fell
In my dreams I see her standing
all alone at the top of a hill
But when I climb up to meet her
she just laughs and disappears
