ANOTHER NIGHT by Jim Allen
My dinner's on the table,
I won't need no silverware,
I'll eat with my fingers,
No one else is here to care,
Another night without her,
The dishes will pile up
I'll put a log on the fire,
And drink without a cup
I'll stare at the flames,
Hold my hands to the fire,
Tomorrow will be the same,
And my eyes won't get any drier
Another night without her,
Another night alone in the sack
Maybe tomorrow I'll do laundry,
Maybe tomorrow I won't look back.
Nice to know what will happen
When you are alone
Nice to know that tonight
There won't be a ringing phone
Nice to know the things I can do
Without anybody's help
Nice to know that without her
I can still feel how she felt.
Repeat 2, then 5 & 6
