I've never been to Carolina
They say it's pretty in the fall
With all the leaves ablaze in color
With those pine trees standing tall
As a mist covers the Smokies
They await the winter snows
Never been to Carolina
But someday I hope to go

Spent some time in Colorado
Up where the Rockies pierce the sky
Where the air's as crisp as kindling-wood
Up above the world so high
And the sound of rushing rivers
They say it gets into your blood
Up in that mountaintop cathedral
You can almost touch the face of God

Well I've never been to heaven
But I have heard about that place
Where a sea as clear as crystal
Flows out from the Throne of Grace
And the air is filled with singing
Like an angel choir's refrain
I've got my ticket stamped and paid for
Someday I'll ride that Gospel Train
