ANOTHER DAY IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD by Jim Allen
Its another day in the neighborhood
Another day for you and I
The sun is out and theres a nice breeze
And birds are flying in the sky
Were going to have some breakfast
Were going to get dressed for the day
Go out and see some friends
And see what they have to say
It's so good to see you,
My, you haven't changed
Do you still work in the garden
Did you get your office re-arranged
So sad what happened to Harry,
No one should die so young
But nice to see his wife
Found someone to carry on
Im glad the economys doing better
Isnt it nice to do more each day
Just wish the price of gas would fall
And the Cubs would find a way.
It's so good to see you,
My, you haven't changed
Isnt amazing how our kids have grown
Yet they still drive us insane
Well, well go on I guess
We hope to ski this year
Maybe theyll pass gun control
So kids wont have so much to fear
Well they say global warming
May cause a flood in our town
Im sure our leaders have it under control
Cause they dont want to lose whats around
