Michael Prather songs
Well it's been a while since i posted anything new, circumstances took me away from it and I know I have a lot of catching up to do .. sorry.
I bought some new equipment and am testing it out with this rough Guitar/Vocal Demo, so here goes.

Lonely Again
Michael L Prather
well you showed up at my door tonight
though you said we were through
as you stood in the frame,I felt that old pain
but I let you in because I knew
you must be lonely again
You must be lonely or you wouldn't come around
you must be lonely to come to my part of town
you said it was over and that might be true
but here's me, here's you both lonely again
I could send you away, just close the door
and forget about you forever more
but you've got that look in your eyes
and it comes at no surprise I let you in
because I knew .. you must be lonely again
You must be lonely or you wouldn't come around
you must be lonely to come to my part of town
you said it was over and that might be true
but here's me, here's you both lonely again
Now I'm lying here holding you, knowing that you'll leave
And I'll be paying for this night while you walk away free
I'll go back to trying to forget you but I know I won't win
because I know you'll get lonely again ...
You must be lonely or you wouldn't come around
you must be lonely to come to my part of town
you said it was over and that might be true
but here's me, here's you both lonely again
but here's me, here's you both lonely again

angie 2013-08-11 | GREAT song, Mike! Sounds like something a lot of men have to deal with (and women) but I've never heard it expressed in a song. This is what great songs are about. Things that people don't talk about much. Love everything about it! Great guitar/vocal! |
