You never knew love would end like this

Peculiar way to say goodbye

At least he could have tried and tell you why



Whatever made him want to go away

It’s hard to read between the lines, they say

You never thought he’d break your heart 

You would never fall apart and here you are



I suppose from time to time, we all need a change of scene

But the life you leave behind lingers on ..... like a dream



Once upon a time I met this girl

She had a vision of a brave new world

Where all the guns remain at ease

No more hunger, no disease, a life in peace



Until she finally faced the fact

There ain’t  no way to get this world back on track

She didn’t want to carry on

Couldn’t stand another dawn, now she’s gone



I suppose from time to time, we all need a change of scene

But the life you leave behind lingers on like a dream



Think twice, when you take that step

Realize there’s no way back

When you reach the point of no return

No one there to hold your hand

What’s the use, now you made your stand

Perhaps a lesson to be learned
