Well I went to work and I didn't get pissed

No vital deadlines had been missed

And my boss didn't treat me like I dont exist

From where I stand, things could be worse



So I went home and I watched some tv

No one was killed in a gun toting spree

And I saw a new film that wasn't in 3d

I went to the country for the weekend

Swapping old stories with some old friends

And no one had met an untimely end

Spent the whole night right next to you

I was real happy, you seemed so too

Well when I awoke we were still two

I made breakfast in the usual way

Added a flower upon the tray

That's when you told me you were here to stay
