Just wishing y'all a very merry Christmas and reminding you to take a few minutes
for yourself (maybe just look out the window) on Christmas eve.

Soft white snowflakes falling down
 to the linen lawn
softer than the moon's white light
as they sail along

And so, they'll fall throughout the night
more quietly thank me
in a whisper when they end their flight
so silent they can be

and if I turn off my own light
their brightness will not fade
 they'll play around the old street light
in and out beneath its shade

and when I wake tomorrow morn
I'll find my dreams came true
white snow all piled a foot or more
for Christmas day with you
