On August 28th, 2005, Katrina, a Category 5 hurricane, ravaged the Gulf Coast of the United States,  from New Orleans to Mobile Bay.  90,000 square miles of the Glorious South lay in ruins.  

The next day, August 29th, news came out of New Orleans  two of the levees had breached, flooding most of the city.  

A thousand lives were lost, and 100,000 souls were destroyedthis song is for each one of them
