Could this be the chosen One

The promised Lamb of God,

Israel's Deliverer, sent here from above?

The One foretold throughout the Word,

In every book described.

Everything's a picture of His life.





First pro-phe-sied by God to A-dam and Eve

How the re-deem-er would come from her seed,

He will put an end to all their sorrow and dread.

The serpent would bruise His heel, but He would crush its head.  (Chorus)



I-sa-iah said to a virgin, He'd be born.

In Beth-le-hem, seed of David, Micah warned.,

He will heal the sick, raise the dead, set captives free.

Grant-ing forgiveness unto all who will believe.  (Chorus)



On a young donkey, MesSI-ah shall ride,

Shouts of Ho-san-na and praise at His side.

Behold Jeru-saLEM, your King! Lift up your gates and sing!

Re-joice Oh Zi-on, you're about to be redeemed.  (Chorus)



Proud and religious ones plot-ted His end.

The friend of all men, was betrayed by a friend.

Re-ject-ed, for-sak-en, -pierced and cru-ci-fied.

MesSI-ah's cruel death was very clearly pro-phe-sied.  (Chorus)



Raised from the dead, as He said that He would be.

Vic-t'ry over death and life for all eternity.

Lif-ted from the grave, our Lord has saved what man had lost.

The veil is torn, we're re-con-ciled, praise God for the cross!   (Chorus)



Yes!  This is the chosen One
