I raised my head, stepped back from the door.

Looked into the house..."well take whatever's yours"

As you walked by me, I smelled the fragrance of your hair.

Reminded me of nights laying close in our bed.

As if I'm some acquaintance who might have been a friend.

The distance of your words dropped like dead leaves in fall.

If I can't say I love you, I don't wanna talk at all.

I lay back on the sofa and feign to watch tv.

You call out from my front door..."I got everything I need."
