Had a little set back about a month ago
Bank took the house, I had nowhere to go
Wife got pissed and left with my best friend
So at 60 years old I’m startin’ over again
Now I’m single in a doublewide
Cost me two bills a month and a piece of my pride
I’ve made a lot of new friends down here in Pleasant Acres
Though they ain’t what you’d call a bunch of “movers & shakers”
Yeah I’m livin’ the dream livin life on my own
A single man in a doublewide mobile home.
The previous tenant left the place smellin’ bad
Ain’t no pets allowed but folks say he had a “lab”
I ain’t sure what he was mixin’ in the kitchen sink
But since I moved in here I ain’t slept a wink
Well they tell me I’ll get used to all the shootin at night
And the black & white cars with their pretty blue lights
I’m pretty sure I saw a murder but I’m scared to report it
I think I’ll be movin’ soon as I can afford it
Now I’m single in a doublewide
Cost me two bills a month and a piece of my pride
I’ve made a lot of new friends down here in Pleasant Acres
Though they ain’t what you’d call a bunch of “movers & shakers”
Yeah I’m livin’ the dream livin life on my own
A single man in a doublewide mobile home.
Got a Walmart up the street
Got two liquor shops
Got a neighbor next door
Who was featured on “COPS”
Now I’m single in a doublewide
Cost me two bills a month and a piece of my pride
I’ve made a lot of new friends down here in Pleasant Acres
Though they ain’t what you’d call a bunch of “movers & shakers”
Yeah I’m livin’ the dream livin life on my own
A single man in a doublewide mobile home.
