The Green Side of the Lawn

I lost a real good friend of mine, It’s been about a year
One day here, the next day sayonara
Gone in a blink, it made me think and caused a little fear
To think that any one of us, could be gone tomorrow
So I’m livin’ every day like it could be my very last one
Celebratin the act of wakin on the green side of the lawn
Even bad breath means you’re breathin
Kick back, think of all the fun you’ve had
Growin old may suck, but lighten up
The alternative’s twice as bad
So when you’re wrestling the demons, and things are goin rough
Ya feel like telling everyone to shove it
Before you go and really blow, ask yourself, “have I really had enough?”
Do like me, and rise right up above it
Cause I’m livin’ every day like it could be my very last one
Celebratin the act of wakin on the green side of the lawn
Even bad breath means you’re breathin
Take a minute, reflect on all the fun you’ve had
Growin old may suck, but ya gotta lighten up
The alternative’s twice as bad
Yeah love it, live it, take it, give it
This ain’t no practice round
Sooner or later we all gotta pay so
Jump up and dance around..and
Live every day like it could be your very last one
Celebrate the act of wakin on the green side of the lawn
Even bad breath means you still got some!
Take a minute, think of all the fun you’ve had
Growin old may suck, but ya gotta lighten up
The alternative’s twice as bad
Live every day like it could be your very last one
Celebrate the act of wakin on the green side of the lawn
Even bad breath means you still got some
Take a minute, reflect on all the fun you’ve had
Growin old may suck, but ……
The alternative’s twice as bad
The alternative…just ain’t worth thinkin’ about…
