Poor Quality Recordings Songwriter: William Roberson
Head Out West
 • 1  Head Out West
Songs that were recorded with only a mic and a acoustic guitar without using a DAW - Or possibly one that was recorded on an old 4 track cassette machine while living in a camper. Nothing special. I do tend to focus heavily on lyrics, although they sometimes tend to be tangential and semi ambiguous, however some might say the same for Roger Waters lyrics.

A mic, in a bedroom, with a tape recorder.

Verse

I spend my days just a wondering how I'm ever gonna make it through tomorrow
Cause a life like mine has surely got it's own big ole share of sorrow.
And although my life may have it's ups and downs the ups wouldn't be no good lord if it weren't for those downs.

Chorus

And now I think I'll head out west
And I think i'll give myself a rest  .....  from this town.

Verse

A wise man once told me you can never get away from growing old.
But being young and being dumb I never ever listened to what I was told.
And now those days are not so far away.
They just keep getting closer and closer  ....   day by day.

Chorus

So now I think I'll head out west

And I think I'll give myself a rest  .....  from this town.

 ..... repeat til fade ........
