I live high upon a cross arms spread out wide and big ole hat pulled down 

Long brown coat all stuffed with straw cause I'm a scarecrow and I chase 

The crows away said that I’m a scarecrow and  I chase the crows away big ole 

Scary scarecrow chase’in the crows while they fly away but every spring when 

The frost is gone I hear farmer Browns tractor come around and he plows those 

Long straight rows and he plants his corn and I watch it grow and every little 

Ear I personally know cause I’m a scarecrow

Sadly every fall harvest comes around and they pick each ear from top to the 

Ground and I watch as that green corn turns to gold and they chop it down and 

They plow the ground guess I should be sad but there’s one thing that I know

If I stick around spring’l come and then every year you’ll find me here ain’t go’in 

Nowhere that is clear cause I’m a scarecrow and I chase the crows away scary
