Fear is knocking at my door cause Ive been down this road before
When life wasnt all I dreamed that it would be
(But) Lord, one thing I know is true  that I can put my trust in You

What was that she had to say when I talked with her today
Just an incident of mutual concern
But the more I thought it out I was troubled with the doubt
One more lifes hard lesson I would have to learn


I thought all was laid to rest  that Id passed the final test
I had overcome and I was moving on
How surprised I was to feel the emotions still so real
When will sorrows of the past be finally gone


Help me Lord to trust in You show me that Your word is true
All things work together for my final good
Though I cant deny the past  loves the only thing that lasts
And I wouldnt change it even if I could
