I’ve been trying to get you out of my mind

But it seems that I can’t forget the times

I knew that loving you from the start I would end up breaking your heart

Cause a man like me I just didn’t need your love



You been crying cause I said good-bye

And I can’t even give you a reason why

So don’t be blue, don’t be sad your sweet lovin’ was the best I’ve had

But a man like me I didn’t need your love



You made me feel alive deep inside

That’s one thing that my heart can’t deny

Your love was so damn real But I couldn’t face my self            

Knowing that I didn’t need your love



As I write these words it weighs heavy on my mind

Having said goodbye and without being unkind

As a travelin’ soul I must keep moving on

trying to find a place where I belong

So a man like me I’m not ready to take your love
