In 2013, I was fortunate enough to collaborate with a lady from Maryland, Lisa Gundling.  She had created a captivating story in lyric about a strange couple... a Cat and a Mouse.  This is the result of that collaboration:

APPEARANCES DECEIVE

INTRO

She seems a little strange...   nobody knows her name...
peering out through "Catty" eyes... we wonder what they hide...
...but appearances deceive.

He appears to be quite tame... but something in his brain...
makes him love those eyes he sees... and Miss Kitty seems quite pleased.
...'cause he brings her lots of cheese.

But appearances deceive... and both of them believe...
Fortune Tellers sometimes weave... Love affairs we can't conceive...
...affairs we can't conceive.

INSTRUMENTAL BREAK

So they built a house by hand... out there on rocky land...
though it looks a little odd...  it's more than a facade...
...cause appearances deceive.

When the "County Man" came out...   he said. "There's little doubt...
their home will not meet code"...   so they'll have to "hit the road."
...it was such a heavy load.

But Juries sometimes see... how things were meant to be...
They still live in that small house... Miss Kitty and her Mouse...
and most of us believe... what many can't conceive...
