Rusty Spurr is a figment of my imagination(or vice-a-versa)
The Dusty Chaps Band consists of me, myself & I and hired hands kind enough to help me out with their talent on my demos.

I'm uploading this song just for entertainment/kicks. It's just a scratch track format. I started writing this song in circa 1978. As the years went by I rewrote or tossed out existing verses and added a verse or two never getting real serious. I thought I share this 'cause I may never get a full arrangement done, i.e, bass, lead gtr, etc. There is solo section but no solo, just rhythm so this morning I slopped in a harp that I don't know much about. Anyway, hope this song is enjoyed with a chuckle now and then.

Chorus
Well I got a plant in my back yard, pretty as she can be
What I really think is really kind of neat, is when we cut her on down
level to the ground
Oh boy, high times, for a week,
Or more
Verse 1
Well I woke up one fine morning 'bout thirty nine years ago
Said I was tired of paying' twenty bucks for that Acapulco Gold
So I looked around in my old shoe box, found some seeds and stems
I pulled out a seed or two or three, man you should have seen me grin
Verse 2
So I went out to my back yard & grabbed me some tools
I dug me a hole, then I thought, I better dig another one two
Well I got hot and I got tired I thought I better have a brew
So I had me one & then another one,
I guess I had a brew or two, or three, or fouror more
Repeat Chorus
Verse 3
Well the day was done, the sun goin' down I figured that I should too
'cause in between the brews I had, I had me a toke or two
Yes I had me a celebration to celebrate my scheme
& I swear that ole Sun agreed 'cause I swear he winked at me
Verse 4
I also swear I heard him say, Son I'll do my part
I'll shine for you everyday you just do your part
I said thank you as he disappeared and then the MOON came up
I said "Oh NO", don't "you" talk to me, 'cause people gonna think I'm nuts
Some folk already do
Chorus
Instrumental
Repeat Chorus/out
