The Elephant Whisperer

the elephants of south africawere systematically being slaughteredseemed they wandered tloo far into civilizationand met head on with the devils daughter

to stop the massacre, the powers that beset up an elephant reservatiom with huge fencesbarbed wire to keep them out of harms waybut the elephants thought any restrictionson their freedom was just plain senseless

the elephants used their tusks, to snap the barbedwire, and sure enough their escape let to their deathconcerned villiagers knew only one man couldsave the elephants, and that was Larwence Anthonythe elephant whisperer

When Lawrence arrived the elephants, were linedup at a fence, to make a fatal escape attemptLawrence looked straingt into "Nana's eyes, who was with her new born baby girl, and said Nana, if youand all your elephants are triumphant, it will surelybe the end of your herd, your family as you know it, one by one you will succumb until in the end you are none. Nana reared her massive head readying for a charge, when in an instant she changed her mind and turned and led the herd away from danger. Lawrence knew the elephants would return, the fire in their hearts, that needs to be free at any cost, would not extinguish itself so easily.

Lawrence thought to himself, what to do, when he decided the only way for the elephants to stay on the reserve, is if he would pull up a tent and live amongst the magnificent beasts, and that he did, until he was convinced that the herd understood, that life on the reservation was a far cry better than death in the wild.

talk about far cries, when Lawrence was on his death bed, some twelve hours from where the Elephants dwell, through the jungle you could hear them marching, thundering through the woods, to set up vigil for the man who saved their lives. The remarkable thing is they left the reservation before Lawrence died, could the elephants sense his spirit leaving his soul, and climbing towards the heavens, my best guess, is the answer to that question is yes!
