John recently sent me a guitar track with a melody that reminded me so much of the traditional folk tunes I grew uphearing. I wanted to try to write something similar, and this is what I came up with.

Although I am a "Lancashire Lassie" myself, this song is a celebration of all the wonderful women of my home county. So I hope you don't think I'm being narcissistic or vain with these words! :)

Having said that, I guess this would not be the first time I have written the kind of love song that I would enjoy being sung to me! :)
