Rob and Anna, were parked atop of lookout hilla ridge on the outskirts of town, with a great view of the cityit was fun watching the traffic patternsand how the lights were timed, especially on a quiet Sunday morningwhen the streets weren't busy, far from the weekday nitty grittyand sometimes they could see trouble brewingbefore the news came over their two way radiosand wouldn't you know, a crowd was gathering by the midtown bridgeTaking out their binoculars, Anna said look Rob, I think we have a jumpercall it in, and let's be on our way, let's hope a pray it's not another tragic dayRob and Anna were first on the scene, and noticed the man had a suit and tieone of the spectators yelled that's my boss, please don't let him dieRob grabbed a megaphone and said hello up there, can I be of assisstancewhile Anna pumped Johnathan the man who yelled, for more imformationStay calm said Rob, whatever it is that's troubling you, isn't worth thisplease just think about your loved ones, and how much pain this will causeAnna found out the man was the owner of brontosauris fuelsand contacted his wife, who while in a state of shock, saidher Husband Jack, was extremely conlicted and felt very guiltyabout how gasoline prices consistently go up, regardless of howpoor the economy was, the whole price indexing scam,made him feel like his whole world was a shamRob told Jack, they had contacted his wife and she was on her waymeanwhile Anna learned that Jack had volunteered for Greenpeacestraight out of college, and it was his intent to save the planet, andnot contribute to its downfall, Jack was certainly in odds with himselfat the same time that Jacks wife Marla arrived, so did the hellicoptersthe hellicopters, nine of them, formed a giant triangleeach thirty yards apart in altitude and side by side spacingthe copters all dropped nets, that would stretch acrossthe midsection of the bridge, forming a row on netsto catch Jack should he decide to jump, all in alla delicate operation. so much amazing precision is neededto pull this off, and our hellicopter captains were trained and readyto hold the ships steady, regardless of weather conditionsand it was in fact getting windy....Rob said to Jack, you're looking stout todayI don't think you've missed any meals latelyand Jack said what the hell are you talking aboutRob continued, I bet you have a pretty penny in the bankJack was like how's that any of your businessRob said not my business at all, but perhapsit could be your new business, My new whatwell Jack, instead of taking the easy way outwhy not use your money to do something positiveLike what, like what, what are you talking aboutRob said why not open up an alternative energy plantJack said what about my oil business, Rob laughed what oil businesstwo seconds ago you ready to give it all upJack for the first time smiled, you know whatI can't argue with that logic.....Jack climbed back onto solid groundand fell into the waiting arms of his loving wifetears in both their eyes, the beginning of a new life....just another day on the jobfor two ordinary slobsrittmo'
