A year or two back a neat kind of a hook came into my head. I didn't get around to creating a story for it, and it just got stored away in the Dusty Diane Vaults.

Then more recently Kenny asked me if I had any suitable lyrics for his country project. I told him, "well I dont really write country songs, but how about this hook idea?"

one tear nearer to a heartacheone lie lingering in your eyesone step further from foreverone kiss closer to goodbye

...and Kenny said something like "I reckon that will do pretty well"

So he came up with a couple of verses, and I threw in a middle verse and a bridge. Then he wrapped it all up in an upbeat melody and sizzling music track, and tied it with a ribbon of sparkly woohoos!
