Yes I know I reposted this in January for the New Year...but forgive me....I have to deal with these Rampbash withdrawal blues somehow!
I wrote this straight after the very first Rampbash in 2005....and a whole crowd of rampers filled the stage and closed the Bash with this song in 2007.....
Many many thanks to the Chiggers ...without them there would be no Bash never mind this song!!

After being there and witnessing the love and respect in person, this song captures it perfectly. You are so right about the Chiggers being the ones to do this Di! Great lyrics and performance. Count on me to be at next years get-together for sure. The RampRomp was one of the best times of my life and now I get this to add to my long list of memories! There is a WHOLE lot to like about this song...The spirit..The sincere lyrics...The awesome chorus melody(one of the best I've heard in a long time)...What a singalong quality here!Diane,thanks for seeing this thru,its nice to remember the gathering again this way...You Chiggers are fantastic on this!!! Great lyric and great "chiggerizing" too! Love the style of the old time "ballads" and the major/minor shifts. I kept hearing a real twangy/reverby/Duane Eddy-ish guitar in there (am I showing my age here?). Great job all-around...voting! -john

Gittyup fellows - this song has that 2/4 beat that keeps my pulse bouncing along - glad to hear Jericho tickling those strings again. You guys really opened up - Diane really nice job lyrically - I don't see how you can do it without music as you go! Amazing tune by all. I love the combination of the spirit of your lyrics, Diane combined with the great instrumentation and the sheer joy in the vocals of the Chiggers.Next year,I won't get caught in a storm in Atlanta.. Super lively track - I'd really be interested in your writing process - since you are the lyricist - is there any music going on in your mind before hand? (you say you don't really play) - how much editing? Like - back & forth - to make music fit words & vice/versa? - I'd be interested - only because I very rarely write lyrics before music - I write them together 99% of the time - the melody dictates my lyric - whatever process you go through, you sure are a wordsmith - and you really have some talented folks collaborating with you to get it all realized - as I said before.
