This volume contains all my song collabs from the archive Songramp site, up until July 2014
Yes I know I reposted this in January for the New Year...but forgive me....I have to deal with these Rampbash withdrawal blues somehow!
I wrote this straight after the very first Rampbash in 2005....and a whole crowd of rampers filled the stage and closed the Bash with this song in 2007.....
Many many thanks to the Chiggers ...without them there would be no Bash never mind this song!!
See you all next year friends! :)
Lyrics - Beeswing
Rhythm Guitar & Lead Vocal - Dude

Not Gonna Say Goodbye
We came together in the spirit of song
To make a beautiful noise
Wherever we meet is where we belong
Where we can sing with one sweet voice
Yes we'll sing with one sweet voice
Now I gotta hold-all of memories
More precious than a pot of gold
Every harmony is stored in my mind
And the chords echo in my soul
Yes the chords echo in my soul
Chorus
Guess it's time to be on my way
But I don't wanna say goodbye
Cause I know we'll meet again someday
So there ain't no reason to cry
No I'm not gonna say goodbye
And the song doesn't have to end
Cause we will meet again my friend
I know we'll meet again
Although we'll be many miles apart
Our music will always play
I'm leaving behind a piece of my heart
But I'll be back for it some day
Yes I'll be back some day
We found the best in each other
We opened up a treasure chest
And there'll be another time for sure
Cause our rhymes are forever blessed
Yes our rhymes will be forever blessed
Chorus
Guess it's time to be on my way
But I don't wanna say goodbye
Cause I know we'll meet again someday
So there ain't no reason to cry
No I'm not gonna say goodbye
And the song doesn't have to end
Cause we will meet again my friend
I know we'll meet again
And the song doesn't have an end
And there ain't no reason to cry
Yes we'll meet again someday
So I'm not gonna say goodbye....

sandsome_kb 2005-10-14 | Gosh - the chiggers always make me feel or wish I were right there in the room tappin along. Great song! KEv |
strobicaxe 2005-11-24 | Super lively track - I'd really be interested in your writing process - since you are the lyricist - is there any music going on in your mind before hand? (you say you don't really play) - how much editing? Like - back & forth - to make music fit words & vice/versa? - I'd be interested - only because I very rarely write lyrics before music - I write them together 99% of the time - the melody dictates my lyric - whatever process you go through, you sure are a wordsmith - and you really have some talented folks collaborating with you to get it all realized - as I said before. Dynamite tune. ~AS~ |
JoeWilsonKolb 2005-12-11 | Lookin' in from the outside, hearing all of you playing and singing makes me wanna join in for sure! Nicely put together, Diane...It all sounds good to me! Joe |
