Wrote this while watching my dog (scroungy little mutt but one heck of a good dog) trying to make friends with a spiffy little poodle that wouldn't give him the time of day.

One day I was struttin down the street
When a cute little poodle I chanced to meet
I said hey baby  lets run and play
she said uh uh boy I don't run with strays

I sais I might be Rin Tin Tin
Or I might be Lassie
I could be John Wayne's dog "DOG"
Or I might be Benji

You can never tell whats under the coat
Well It could be lead or it could be gold
If you judge me just by the color of my hair
You might be missing the answer to all of your prayers

Ain't got no collar I ain't got no tags
Nobody owns me and thats a fact
Go where I want to  do what I please
And she said go away boy before I catch your fleas

But even with your pure blood line
