Steve and I wrote this one afternoon in Nashville.  I went home with the thought that I needed a rewrite on the lyrics.  I did, several times...   Its been years, actually.   Well, I pulled this out of the mothballs, and I've decided it is what it is.

The Chiggers are playing their classic instruments.  I added piano and drums.

Used to drive a school bus for the children of the town


Folks say he’s a hero but he sure don’t look the part 


As he stares into that pile o' dirty pots and pans


Tryin’ to get the clean

Happened on a cold day in December


Bus was flyin’ down a hill when the brakes went to the floor


At the bottom when they hit the trees, the bus shot through a clearin’


‘Say that 50 kids would’ve surely died if Willie hadn’t steered them through.
