My future daughter-in-law's grandmother is 96 years old and in a nursing home. In the 1940's her husband was a traveling salesman and gone for long periods of time. While he was away, she wrote this little song for him.

On a recent visit, Jennifer recorded her grandmother singing the song. She sent the recording to me and asked if I could sing and record it as a birthday gift for her grandmother. I knew exactly where to go for some help with it...SONGRAMP!

The last time I needed a quick favor my Songramp family really came through. This time was no different.

Rusty Blake contacted me and was more than happy to help. Within a coupe of days I had a track and was able to record the vocals. It's nowhere near a professional recording, but it was enough to make my daughter-in-law cry when she heard it. She will be bringing it to her grandmother within the next few weeks. I wish I could be there to see her reaction.
