Shes not the same girl

Feel like Steinbecks pearl;
Feel like Ive been thrown away.

She was my pearl of the world,
A bright gem beyond compare.

Before darkness caught us there.

That I think I used to have.
Shes not the same wife

Feels like Kinos knife
Has just ripped my heart in half.

A jewel beyond compare.

Now, I cant find her anywhere.

Its not the same view
That I pictured from the past.

A shattered canoe -
A horrible rifle blast.

Living in my oyster shell.

Now, theres nothing left to tell.
