There was a voice from the darkness,

Muddy hands upon my face,

And, in an instant, that darkness

Left without a trace.

I saw the Son for the first time

That day He pitied me.

Now, I revel in His sunshine -

Call me Timothy.

By God's grace, I was healed;

Changed my life that day.

He got me back up on my feet.

Just some minor complaints -

Till my eternity began

Sleeping with the saints.

Fortunately, I was saved

By my good friend Jesus.

He summoned me from that cold grave;

Call me Lazarus.

I was at a dead end

Till Jesus came on by.

Yes, Jesus came and went;

I live because He died.
