I remember how sore your back was that whole summer
Caring all that extra weight how your smile lit up the day ,I loved every cute expression on your face
How youd nudge me in the morning , to tell me how she moved in that one place

I think back to that hope filled day in September,
When I drove you to Saint Jude, that head nurse was kinda rude I felt all that I could do was wait
Then they told me she was crowning; and with her cry the world welcomed our little "Grace"

You were the most beautiful wife& mother in the world
And you have given me the most precious baby girl
And  although shes only known your love a little while
Shes got your smile. Shes got your smile

I recall your doctors having words that following April
Words we didnt wanna hear, turned our world upon its ear & I was so scared I could not shed one tear
They said settle up your planning, you might not make it through the last days of the year

Ill always remember the 15th of October
That morning it was cool, the sky your eyes so blue, the leaves your favorite colors gold and red
As they lowered you in the ground there , with one last goodbye I bowed my head and I said

I love you with all my heart and miss you with every breath I take
Id do anything to have joined you on your journey
This girl keeps tugging on my hand
Then everything comes back to the realities of this life, when she calls me daddy

You were the most beautiful wife & mother in the world
