Current events are very difficult to write about from an "everybody" perspective....They are also extremely difficult to address without being too political or standing too far to either wing and polarizing the opposite......My son Derek Southerland wrote Warning in the winter of 2002 when he was fourteen years oldI was amazed then and remain so.
Recently, Derek and I set out to do an updated version of this tune which had been posted on his Ramp site for quite awhile.With just a few changes to the lyric, and some tweaks to the melody, this version is what we came up with..I am as proud of this song as any I have ever written,  played or producedBut I am MORE proud of passing on whatever talent I have to the gifted spirit who is Derek..
