This song was given to Jimmy Lee and Martha Sue and at his request it is posted on my page to ensure folks are thanked properly as his time is devoted to caring for Martha Sue... it is an honor to post this song on his behalf.

Jimmy Lee and Martha Sue were engaged 56 years ago on Christmas Day and have remained together ever since.   Recently, Jimmy Lee shared the very sad news that Martha Sue has been very, very ill and somehow we felt we had to do something for them as just a small gesture of the affection we (and all of SongRamp) feel towards them!

 Trudi shared a draft lyric with me which we re-worked a bit to fit a melody that I felt might work for it and I went to work doing the music.  We tried to think of someone to do the vocal that would sing straight from their heart... and in came Carl (teleman58)?In just a couple days, he delivered a tender, caring vocal with soaring emotion ... Carl, thank you so much for sharing a little piece of your heart on this project...

While this is definitely a sad song, I think that it does capture some of the realities of life in a straightforward and honest way.  

Jimmy Lee this song is dedicated to you and your sweet Martha Sue... I hope somehow it gives you both some comfort and brings back the sweetest memories you have shared all these years... This song is a little piece of our hearts that goes out to you, Jimmy Lee and Martha Sue... you are both an inspiration to the SongRamp family!
