This is one I wrote three years ago to someone who really meant a lot to me. At the time, we were both reeling with the emotion upheaval of our spouses' infidelity, and so we were there for each other to lean on and show support, and would often talk for hours on the phone (sometimes till the sun came up, LOL). I wanted to let her know how much she had come to mean to me, and so I wrote this song. This is one of those really "personal" songs, and may not be anything everyone could relate to, or have any "commercial" merit, but I wasn't trying to write it that way. I know that the lyrics here are pretty "sappy", and probably a bit cliche, but at the time I was writing the song, I really didn't care (and still don't), LOL. I wanted to write this song to my friend straight from the heart, without being concerned about getting too "perfect" or "deep" with anything. It was the raw emotion that I was more interested in conveying. As cliche as some of these thoughts or lines might come across, it's how I felt, and I knew it had touched her, because she cried when she heard it. Sadly, we had a bit of a "bump in the road" with our relationship for a while, and I had put this song to rest. But in time, all wounds can heal, and broken friendships can be rebuilt. I thank God that our friendship was restored, and wanted to share this one with my Ramp family.
