Sinners and Saints
Peggy Mack/Barry D.
Verse one:
No one’s really ever who we seem
Hiding all our secrets from society
Living on the edge of a reality
It’s hard to find the truth.
Verse two:
Maybe, it’s your neighbor in the news today
Seemed so nice and friendly when he smiled and waved
Now you learn he’s wanted in a dozen states,
It’s hard to find the truth….today
Chorus:
We’re alike more than you think….
It’s a crazy world of disbelief
When we play our little games
We all try to get away…..
And I do believe…
If I tell the truth..
We all are little sinners and saints.
Verse three:
While we’re looking out for someone else
Maybe we ought to search deep within ourselves
I’m only sharing what I tell myself
It’s hard to know the truth.
Verse four:
You understand as well as I
We only show the side, that gets us by
Holding all the secrets we want to hide
It’s hard to know the truth…
Chorus:
We’re alike more than you think….
It’s a crazy world of disbelief
When we play our little games
We all try to get away…..
And I do believe…
If you tell the truth..
We all are little sinners and saints.
