In the past week, I contacted Rob or maybe he contacted me, I can't remember for certain now...call it short term memory loss or mental pause...LOL. Anyway..........I asked if he might have a little melody..something easy going and gentle....it seemed to be where my mind was spinning at the moment. He replied with a new melody and it was perfect for what I needed. Within the week I sent a first draft..and he said..uh, where's the third verse...after an oops and back to the writing, we had a lyric....and within a week we had a song. This is new and fresh out of recording, so leave us your thoughts...please.
When I first listened to the melody...I heard the notes descending..and had this image of drifting, falling gently like a leaf...and when it repeated the descending note pattern.....it came to my mind how ....in those moments when love is at its best.....you have the sense that you are falling in love, again and again.....and that's how the song began.
Fallin'
Rob Campbell/ Peggy Kelley Mack
June 13, 2011
Verse one:
There will be some other chances ….When I fall,
It can happen often in this dance…..we both,
call our love.
Verse two:
Everytime I hear you laugh, you…play in my heart
Anytime I feel your tender touch…I fall…
More in love.
Chorus:
Isn’t that how real love feels?
Falling, again, easily,
That’s the way it is
Here I go falling…again.
(instrumental)
Bridge:
Love’s an experience
Meant for us both to live….
Come go fallin’ freely….(here) inside my arms
let me feel your sighs softly rest
against my cheek ….tenderly
Chorus:
Isn’t that how real love feels?
Falling, again, easily,
That’s the way it is
Here I go falling…again
