This is one of my treasures recorded by Joe Attwood of Tidewater Bluegrass from NW Florida. Joe is literally a one-man band playing mandolin, guitar, banjo, dobro, bass, harmonicas and singing lead and harmonies.
I played bass, traveled and performed with Tidewater for 20 years. When I moved to SC, I thought I had lost the recordings Joe made for me on a simple 4 track recorder at home. It turns out that there were 4 CDs. At first, I tried to upload them, only to discover some of the files were corrupted. This one is one I was able to retrieve.
Bluegrass lyrics, by their nature, are more simplistic than the lyrics of other genres......but are written to say a lot in a few words and to lay on layers of bluegrass instruments.
This recording is actually a blue, bluegrass style....LOL....I hope you enjoy.

Blue days, sad days
That never seem to end
Blue days without you
Blue days wonderin’
If my heart will mend
Blue days
Missing you.
Blue days, cold days
And long lonely nights
Blue days
Missing you.
Blue days, cold days
And long lonely nights
Blue days
Without you.
Cold days, can’t shake
The chill that I feel
Cold days, don’t seem so right
Cold days,When nothing
seems to be real
Cold days
And long cold nights.
Blue days, cold days
And long lonely nights
Blue days
Missing you.
Blue days, cold days
And long lonely nights
Blue days
Without you.
Sweet dreams, those dreams
That come in the night
Sweet dreams,
those dreams of you.
Sweet dreams that lead me
To hold you so tight
Sweet dreams
And me feeling blue.
Blue days, cold days
And long lonely nights
Blue days
Missing you.
Blue days, cold days
And long lonely nights
Blue days
Without you.
Dobro/harp
Blue days, sad days
That never seem to end
Blue days without you
Blue days wonderin’
If my heart will mend
Blue days
Missing you.
