The true story behind the inspiration for this lyric is that when my favorite lab mix dog died suddenly, I missed her terribly.  She always was by my side anywhere in the house, but her favorite spots were by my chair and by my side of the bed.  When I first lost her, I dreamed about her.....and thus, the birth of the lyric...which turned into a lovely tribute to heartache.
