Dawn Will Break

February 16, 2011
I’m a stone on a lonely beach
Shifting in the tide
Beneath a new moon shining
In the silvery light.
You meet me in the dark of night
In this summer heat
Love’s burning now
There’s no retreat
Close my eyes and my heart sighs
I breathe in your scent
We silence the sound of time
I release my fears
Hours pass like tiny stars
Midnight turns to dawn
You release my fingertips
And you are gone…..
Dawn will break
She takes you away from me
I’m alone again
Beside the darkest sea
My tears flow
I fight this loneliness
I won’t give in
As you are leaving
Me…
Me and the endless sea
As I wait here on the coast
Days feel cold to me
Emerald waves call out to you
I wait impatiently
Soon you find me by the shore
Where we said goodbyes
I see your shadow in the distance
My heart can’t deny……
Dawn will break
She takes you away from me
I am all alone
Beside the darkest sea
My tears flow
I fight the loneliness
I won’t give in
As you are leaving
Me…
Me and the endless sea
You are my lantern
My light in a stormy sea
Here I wait….until
You return to me.
Dawn will break
She takes you away from me
I’m all alone
Beside the darkest sea
My tears flow
I fight the loneliness
I won’t give in
As you’re leaving
Me…
Me and the endless sea
