This is a song that I wrote for "Sheilerk" here on the Ramp. Sheila works at a wildlife rescue facility out in Oregon, and one of her favorites of the animals that she's cared for and spent a lot of time with was a Siberian (a.k.a. Eurasian) lynx that they named "Nikki".  Nikki got into a bit of a scuffle one day with one of the cougars at the facility, and developed an infection, which led to renal failure. Sheila's kept me up to date on Nikki's progess. He hung on for quite a while, but sadly, Nikki passed away several weeks ago. I came up with this song as sort of a tribute to Nikki, and sent it to Sheila, and she suggested I post it here to share with everyone. So, here it is - "Wild and Free (Nikki's Song)".
