I've cleaned myself up a bit from riding on the trail
I've got two saddles a station wagon and a tape of JJ Cale

Now, there's a part of me still riding, way out on the range
My heart longs for a drive down to San Antone
But, my riding days are over now, I'm looking for a change
And I don't want to get old all alone

Never seemed to hang onto a wealth of worldly goods
Money never meant that much to me
Lost everything I've ever won and now all that remains
Is in a cigar box underneath the seat

Now, these cowboy boots and spurs are ready to settle down
And I might even buy my myself a suit
A dozen roses and pink champagne and a box of chocolates, too
