Does Jerica remember the sound of squealing brakes,
and the sirens as she laid there bleeding?
Does she hear "Wake up Jerica, please come back,"
every day her mamas pleading,
Does she hear any thing at all
where she's living now behind those walls??

While she lays there, we fight the Battle of Jerica
With every prayer, we fight the Battle of Jerica
and we'll keep believing some day soon
a miracle will be found,
and the Walls of Jerica come tumbling down.

Is it pretty where she is, is the weather always fair,
can she smell the flowers everyone's sending?
In her mind is her favorite music playing there,
Is she dancing when her legs are bending
As she gets her daily therapy
is she waltzing behind the walls with me?
