This is a very basic version of a 2004 song of mine. Originally the song had drums, harmony guitars, solos and all that other stuff. I was always fond of this song so I had an hour or so last week and re-recorded with just guitar and vocals. It is quite raw as this was just 'one or two take' recording.
I also used another instrument called an iPhone. That's right.. An iPhone. I had just downloaded an App called "Thumbjam" and i just played with some sounds and found a couple to add. Modern technology. What next Ha!!
EASY WIND
Blew in on a north wind from
Back hills of
Twenty dollars and my guitar
Heading east
Heading east
Got no kin folk to remember
Just a photograph of two
All I own is what I carry
That’s just me
I’m free
CHORUS
Well you can blow up your cities with dynamite
Settle your debt with a gun
And if you cant find gold on a city street
Just turn your back and run
Well you can lay around wondering where it went and where you life is gonna be
Ohh I don’t give a damn
I’m following an easy wind
SOLO
CHORUS
I can tell you stores of the road
I keep a note of all my days
For ten long years i’ve been trying to write this story
Getting old
Getting old
I guess I’ll move on to
They say the air is something fine
And I’ll be riding high tomorrow
That’s just me
I’m free
I’m free………..
