Well I was just a kid when I saw the king singing on that TV show. I told my momma and my daddy someday that they would hear me on the radio.

(bridge-1)  I got my first guitar when I was ten years old my uncle said he'd show me how to play. It wasn't long til I was playing along with the songs and I'm still thankin God every day for those

 Those Fort Payne boys up on lookout mountain,
you really couldn't get much higher. And those T-town boys called the Sanford-Townsend Band singing Smoke from a distant fire.

Bridge-2) Muscle Shoals Sound it was the place to be. Crankin out the number one's just like a well oiled machine. With the Swamper's layin down the rhythym to each and every song. Duane Allman came to town turned it upside down playin his guitar like no one had ever seen.
