Years ago when I was in the jingle biz in Chicago, my company flew a keyboard player up from Nashville to play on some tracks. At the end of the session, this player, Mitch Humphries, asked if we had anything else for him to play on. I had this slow gospel-type tune that I wanted to do a little demo of...so I showed him the song, he wrote out his Nashville number system chart, and played his butt off on piano and organ. Mitch grew up in the South in a Southern Baptist church environment...obvious from his great playing. On bass & drum programming and sharing the BG vox duties is Bruce Dees, a Nashville producer/guitarist/singer.
