Lubomir Velev songs
This is wild and beautiful avant-garde jazz composition of The SLAV group (my last group in Bulgaria which I co-formed in 1991 as an avant-garde formation - part of Art In Action Association.
The group name is abreviation of the first letter of the names of the members - me and a fellow musician Svetoslav Bitrakov, Valentina Pouliova - painter and Any Mitova - dancer. After many happenings & performances we continued as a music duo only and released 5 albums on my co-established and co-owned DS Music label- 1992-1997!).
Our latest CD sampler - 7 Years Somewhere In Europe, the best of The SLAV group (with this piece of course!) is from February 2006.
The piece opens with an aliens talking synth effect and then develops in fast tempo through vibes and flugelhorn solos to a great "alien-like" one. Once again very typical for our so called "Transcendent eclectic" music style! In fact I made music for 3 documentaries in the 80s & 90s(see my Homepage!). I have more music for film pieces to offer to directors and producers in Hollywood! (This is my dream, having 35 years music career as musician/composer/engineer/producer!)
Everything was recorded by me playing el.guitar/Roland GK-2/GR-1 guitar synth driver/guitar synthesizer, MIDI-ied to Alesis QSR synth module with World/Ethnic QuadraCard installed and my partner on Yamaha WT-11 MIDI wind controller/synth module on the last "crazy" solo. The rhythmm part was played by me on the guitar synth from the internal modified drum kit with special FX! Recorded/mixed and mastered by me at my The Base studio and originally included in the 4th album by The SLAV group, Birds On Wire (DS Music, 1997).
Well, the story goes on: I won 2 times Green card and came to USA to start a new life and release my 5 finished solo albums as the next logical step to my 8 released, as well as make music for film cause that's where my main interests are!
So, I am searching for a good agent to find me a record Label and film music contracts in USA! Like most of the artists here I seek wide international audience and recognition!
