One summer after traveling 35 days in the camper, I asked my husband where we had slept two nights before. In his usual fashion he replied by giving me the exact location and name of everywhere we had slept for 35 nights. He never stops amazing me. After that I was feeling dumb wondering why my mind and memory wasn't as good as his. Then , to help me out of the hole I was digging for myself the thought below occurred to me and I instantly felt a bit better.
I am playing Ukulele.

Do any of you feel like this?

Hello, whats your name?
No need to search my brain,
Cant remember names and places.
But Im awfully good with faces.
Cant remember where we met,
So many things I do forget.
But one thing I love the best,
Makes me feel good and its 

I save my mind for music.
I fill up all the spaces 
With melodies Im learning.
All day my brain is churning.
With each tune my mind is tracing
Every note of it Im placing,
With all my fingers racing 
Just to find those notes Im chasing.

Before I learn them all by heart,
I get lost in just one part.
I think Ill nearly have a fit
If I dont get the hang of it.
at last I solve the riddle. 
I can play it on my fiddle.
And then perhaps for half a day
Its the only tune I wanna play.

It creeps in underneath my skin.
I feel like Im in love again.
Then I always want another  
after I have learned the other.
Oh, theres never ending  
Of the time that Ill be spending,
So Ill always try to be quick,
Maintaining all my mind for music.

Now perhaps youll see just why
My mind is always in the sky.
Forgive me my forgetful way,
cause in my mind  the music Plays..

Just as sailboats need the breeze,
As circus needs the high trapeze,as
Frenchmen need their wine and cheese....
Me,  I just need melodies.   Me, I just need melodies.
Me, I just need melodies that please me..
